The last game is the mirror of the while match. Novak's poor play plus Anderson's aggression made Novak 0-30. His solid baseline climbed him 15-30, then two weak 2nd serves unreturned by Anderson. Anderson stepped on Novak neck, but suicuded out of nowhere.

He needs 11 more to reach Fed's record and 12 more to overtake Fed. Do you think he can do it?
I don't think he can do it. Fed's records in that department are insane.

Hope he does not. But, it seems a doable given that Novak is in prime and all that he needs to do is to maintain for three years from now to beat it.

Novak might be in his prime, but 12 more means more or less 3 more years at this level. I'd be surprised if that happens.

at this level AND injury-free. the combination is a big ask, really. he's currently 70% of the way to fed's number. if this were the equivalent of aiming for a calendar slam, he'd be up a set and a break in the semis of Wimbledon. so yeah, he has a shot, but it's still a long way to go.
