The Wimbledon scheduling committee obviously felt shamed into putting Serena v Heather onto Centre Court. Rumour had it that Rachel Dolezal read the riot act to some old stuffed shirt in SW19... :popcorn

Seriously speaking though, I'm very happy to see Heather get so far, and a big plus is that she faces Serena. Serena looks busy and strong so far and Heather is the kind of tasty morsel she likes to dine on, but still, it's a great match and a great Wimbledon for the British girl...

Serena has a lot to defend from August to the end of season..she should avoid the Asian swing and just go to the YEC .I want her to defend USA Open and do the unthinkable of holding all slams and defending USA Open four times.

I wonder if winning Wimbledon seals the deal for Serena as a lock for YE #1.

She can't flame out early at the Open. I would think if she at least makes it to the QF there, she would lock it up. Right now she's about 5200 points ahead of Petra who has this title to defend.

I know Serena has already qualified for Singapore. Well hopefully Serena came to win because it doesn't get easier from this point forward Watson is no slouch, maybe Venus, maybe Azarenka, a potential bye in the SF, maybe Kvitova. Who knows though upsets are happening.

Can someone pls tell me apx. what time Serena will be playing? I'm in MD and I estimate it to be around 1:00. Is that right?

She is scheduled around noon which should be right providing Djokovic keeps it a straight set affair.

Look at Coco...bagelling Stosur in the 2nd set.
Granted it's Stosur on grass...but still. Impressive from her:shy:

Sloane really needs to get things done in two sets because when it goes three she really sucks.
