Here are the early odds for winning Wimbledon.
Novak is the favorite, next is Murray and then Fed and then Rafa. Only after that comes Stan.
But, he at least leads the Non-Big-Four players.

Novak Djokovic 5/4

Andy Murray 3/1

Roger Federer 11/2

Rafael Nadal 12/1

Stan Wawrinka 14/1

Grigor Dimitrov 16/1

Milos Raonic 20/1

Juan Martin Del Potro 25/1

Kei Nishikori 25/1

Marin Cilic 25/1

Tomas Berdych 25/1

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 40/1

Nick Kyrgios 40/1

I personally would place Andy above Novak and bring Nadal down to 25/1.
I will next check on it after this weeks warm-up tourneys in Stuttgart and Netherlands are over.

Looking at that I'd bet on Murray and/or Federer at those odds. Nole's getting too low of odds there, I don't see him as having a 45% chance to win it.

I'd have Kei and possibly Milos and Marin above Grigor.

Is Del Potro even going to play?

I would like to see the odds afterwards of the draw . I will definitely lay some $ on Stan if he is in Nole half, there is no way Djoker wants to encounter him again at a GS

Personally I wish Mardy Fish would play some grass events. Del Potro's career is as good as done at this stage. Pretty sad really.

I agree with Front, and I have already said this before, but 2013 might have been his last season. He did play a few matches in 2014 and 2015, but that was meaningless. He really needs a miracle to come back. Terrible really. Such a talented player and a good guy in general. Someone open up another thread so we can mourn our loss.

In Wimbledon athleticism and movement are more important than in other slams. So, Stan would not do well there.

Another reason, Stan will not do well there is that he is never consistent. One good tourney is always followed by another very bad tourney. Last year's AO win was followed by 1st round exit in RG.

I find nothing at all about Del Potro since he bowed out of RG. Still, it's a bit early to write his obituary, esp. by anyone who's excited to see Soderling coming back. (Yes, you, Front. :hug ) Juan Martin is still just 26, and at least he has played some tennis in the last few months, and even won a couple of matches.

Again, it will so depend on draw. We will see. Now Muzzard and Djoker and Fed are to be watched. Maybe Wawec too. Others are balast.

The difference though is Soderling was unable to play due to mono sapping his energy so he hasn't been able to train or play properly for almost 5 years but his body is otherwise injury free, whereas sadly Del Potro has now had multiple surgeries on each wrist. His forehand never really had the same pop on it since he first came back. It was nothing like the forehand pre surgery, circa 2009. I hope to see them both back playing and at a high level even if it may appear to be unlikely at this point.

We are tracking the change in odds here as events happen. You might remember that his Stuttgart win happened before the loss to Dog. If you read through the above posts, you would find out that Rafa's odds improved from 20 to 16 after his Stuttgart win, not a surprise.

After his loss, one would expect his odds to deteriorate, but it actually improved from 16 to 15. That is a surprise. This means the bookmakers are considering his loss to Dog more as a one-off rather than as a trend (which is of course good news for you and your guy).

Given that both Halle and Queens are over, I checked the odds today. Nothing has changed except for small improvement in Andy's odds from 10/3 to 3. Fed's odds and all other's odds remains the same.

Interesting market. Rafa loses in the first round of Queens and his odds improve immediately. Fed wins Halle-500 and his odds does not move a bit.

Here is the state of affairs 20 hours after the draw is released.

Novak Djokovic 7/5
Andy Murray 3
Roger Federer 7
Stan Wawrinka 16
Rafael Nadal 22
Thomas Berdych 40
Milos Raonic 45
Grigor Dimitrov 50
Kei Nishikori 50
Marin Cilic 80

The significant change is considerable worsening of Rafa's odds.

Surely that must make you happy, but odd, given his draw, no?
