Not simply 'cos Federer lost but I'd consider Federer v Safin AO 2005 semi a better match than this. And Federer lost that one also. The level was much higher from both whereas in the Wimbledon 2008 match Federer was flat out poor for the first 2 sets. The AO '05 semi was extremely high quality all match from both guys.
