That may be a possibility this week. When did it last happen, if ever?

If it makes you feel better, Venus mentioned in her speech that only one Williams sister still had a chance to win a title this week. Obviously, if you count doubles, they have won a lot of titles in the same week. I would give a big cupcake to the person who can name the last time they won separate titles in the same week, though.

Obviously, I was talking about singles when I started the thread. Once Venus lost,
I looked back at my OP and noticed that I never mentioned it explicity. So, I thought
I will do a face saving act. :lolz:

Serena, 17 years old and ranked 24th in the world, took her first WTA Tour singles title today, winning the Gaz de France tournament here over Amelie Mauresmo of France, 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (7-4). About five hours later, Venus, 18 years old and ranked No. 5, repeated as the winner of the IGA Superthrift Classic in Oklahoma City, beating Amanda Coetzer by 6-4, 6-0.

It was the first time that sisters had won tournaments in the same week on the WTA Tour. Two sisters played in finals on the same day in April 1991, but Manuela Maleeva lost in Spain and Magdalena Maleeva lost in Croatia.

Did they do it ever again or just once?

That was during the time when they avoided playing each

other. They quickly got over that and started entering all

the big events together and stopped playing a lot of the

smaller ones.

LOL.."living in the past lane"

I see you have resurfaced since Sharapova took her spanking in the SF. Would have been nice if you were around then.
