Remember what happened after Novak beat Nadal at Monte Carlo? He was mentally spent in the final against Berdych.

That's a very good question. I liked the fact that he was restrained after he won. He has to keep his focus. Andy looks a sight more of a threat to him right now than Rafa, at least tennis-wise. I have to say, I'm going to really enjoy both semis. The tennis will be spectacular

Good point, Obsi, but this time he has a day off, and today's match fizzled out. I expect that if he loses, it'll be because Andy was better, and not because today had any adverse effect on Novak...

He will mentally be fine enough to win the match, but not fine enough to not gift one or two sets along the way.

I would worry about this if it had been a five set epic. If anything, he should be even more confident.

That's a good point Riot. Even if the semi becomes a physical war, he didn't really waste too much energy. We all remember that AO QF, semi, then final, where he had to go to the trenches. He has to be the overwhelming favourite for the whole thing. As a neutral, I want to see Stan get thru the other one. What a battle that will be

As well as Murray is playing, I think a Wawrinka is actually a more dangerous outlier (should he reach the final). I picked Djokovic win this thing from the get go, but if I HAD to pick somebody to beat him out of the candidates remaining, I'd probably take a punt on Stan.
