I have picked four ladies in top 10 that I think had pretty bad clay seasons, I will list them for a poll, who had the worst?

I listed Li and Stosur first because they were finalists in FO before.

I don't know about worst, but I was personally most disappointed in Li Na. She can't seem to get it together there anymore, even though she won it in 2011.

It's actually a tie between Petra & Sam. They both had huge points to defend in RG and failed miserably. Their warm-up form wasn't great either. I give the slight edge to Sam. She's dropped out of the top 10 and isn't supporting her FO final or USO win convincingly at all. I'll give Li a pass this time as she was injured at the start of the year and she changed coaches. I think she's still getting adjusted to his way of coaching. Caro is having a bad year period. Her woes aren't solely related to clay.

Well we know who is having the BEST year on clay! The Sensational Serena Williams is just that: SENSATIONAL!

You know though given Sam's results before the French; I don't think the expectations were that high she would make a run. Petra the same. Li given the start to her year in which she won seventh WTA title at Shenzhen (d. Zakopalova in final); reached SF at Sydney (l. to A.Radwanska); runner-up at Australian Open (l. to Azarenka in final); reached QF at Miami (l. to S.Williams); Runner-up at Stuttgart (l. to Sharapova in final); she should have had a better showing on clay than she did. I concede that Sam is more at home on clay, but when you are trying to find form after injuries it can be a tough task on any surface.
