This event has only been around for two years, this being the 3rd year, I have to admit this is the best field yet...
I live around here, may go in for a little live tennis watching and corresponding!

It all starts July 27th.

I like her, too. She's always enjoyable.

It is an interesting field this year, with names like Stephens, McHale, Townsend, Keys, Watson, Petkovic, etc.

Finally, thank you -- as always -- to Kiu for beginning the thread. :)

Sloane and Taylor going out early and in straights. That's rather disappointing especially for Sloane. Taylor is still playing some juniors but no excuse for Sloane to not play up to her ranking. She's becoming someone who only shows up for the slams. That's going to be a problem as there are only 4 slams a year but countless other tournaments.

she must be trying hard to do what the sisters used to do..play just 12 events a year to prolong their careers. The sisters at least used to win the few events they entered, she should emulate her hero Kimmy who criss crossed the world playing every event...:snigger

So Angie is the #1 seed. I wonder why she played D.C. and not Carlsbad?
