The Washington Post did a great write-up on Francis Tiafoe, who will be the #1 seed in juniors at this year's French. Obviously, many in the States are hoping that he is the next great thing.

It's a very interesting story. Particularly how his father has played such a role.

That's a great story, Moose! I know we have to be so careful about "promising juniors," but I really hope the kid's the real deal. And he's from my old neighborhood! Thanks for sharing that.

Tiafoe won his first round match at RG juniors, but lost in the second round. He's still in doubles.

Got to watch Tiafoe's match Monday night - he is clearly not ready to take on the big guns of the ATP, but he played well, I thought, considering it was the 16 year old's debut on the Tour. Very first point was an ace, he played some smart points, and some good rallies. Hope he learned something that he can apply to his long term strategy.

I thought he steadied himself in that match, and yes, played some really smart points. I know Donskoy is no world beater, but he's been on the tour, and a 4 & 4 loss was respectable, for a debut at 16. Thanks for bringing him to our attention, Moose!
