I hope Serena plays earlier than she is scheduled to play in doubles so she can get off the court and take it easy before her semi.

I didn't say she wouldn't beat Li, but she and Venus are still behind everyone else in terms of doubles play.

This is silly scheduling again. Knowing they are behind from yesterday's washout, Serena/Navarro should have played in the daytime slot so she could have played her doubs match tonite. But USO/ESPN is calling the shots and wanted Serena in primetime.

^Well, singles semi's aren't until friday, and the doubles play seems to have helped in her in her singles play like it typically does.

I get that Calvy and I'm not saying it isn't helping her, but today is Tues. She will have a 3R doubs match tomorrow and QF on Thurs. That still leaves SF and F to play if they get that far.

I get that now, but that is assuming there won't be anymore delays. She is backed up now, but her schedule shouldn't be that bad since she is letting Venus do most of the work. It could get ugly if there are anymore delays in her play. Their biggest test will be in the doubles quarters if they make it that far.

FYI:

I adjusted today's schedule to reflect a few changes in start times.

Also, please note that there are now four separate threads for each quarterfinal match (thanks kskate2!). This thread is really just informational about the actual schedule, as opposed to being the place to discuss the matches.

Thanks!

I agree. The doubles matches don't get enough attention, and rarely get shown, so it's worth watching, especially with commentary by a GS-winning doubles specialist.
