Since I have to work, I bet all matches will go on like clockwork without rain delay.

Well, just to speak to the one Spaniard left on this side of the men's draw, I hope Granollers makes a good showing of himself, but I expect his run ends tomorrow against Djokovic. And Istomin is still in. (Dude: did anyone pick Istomin as even a spoiler?)

Marcel Granollers. The player with the ugliest forehand in today's game and Azarenka-like behavior.

I'd like to see Djokovic feed him some bagels.

That may happen. If nothing else, Djokovic isn't going to lose this one.

He's essentially already safely through to the Spend an Hour with the Winner of the Take-a-Senior-Citizen-to-Arthur-Ashe-Stadium Day Contest, aka the quarterfinal.

:D

Murray is still in his half though, that compensates for it.

Don't count Tomas Berdych out yet Denis. I got to see a little bit of his last match - he's not just hitting well, he's crushing the ball. Andy won in 4 when they met last year, but he's not guaranteed the win if the two of them meet again.

Very true. And Berdych should like to avenge that semi of last years which was ruined by the wind. If not for the wind, with his form at that time, he would have beaten Murray in my very objective opinion ;).

I'm hoping Berdych plays Murray because let's be honest, while there has been some good tennis played in this tournament, the draw has really opened up, but not in a good way. Ferrer's quarter was a joke from the get-go, but even seemingly "tough" quarters like Nadal and Djokovic's ended up being complete walks in the park. Murray-Berdych is the only potential marquee quarter final, which is quite disappointing really. Again, full props to those who made it (Robredo in particular deserves a mention), but it just hasn't been too compelling for me personally.

If it continues to be windy I sadly don't see Berdych doing well against Murray. His ball toss is way too high for windy conditions and he overhits many groundstrokes in poor conditions. Murray handles windy conditions far better as their match last year showed. It neutralized all Berdych's weapons and he ended up a mere shell of himself. If there's little or no wind I'd love to see them square off against each other though.

I picked Berdy to the semis so I am keeping my fingers crossed. It may be a little bit of wishful thinking, but this thought has a h2h advantage over andy.

Finally , some posters who believe in Berdych.. Welcome to the party Pal.. a word to the wise.. Just when you feel that Berdcyh is going to take you to the promise land,,Tomas has the uncanny ability to snatch defeat out of the arms of victory.. just kidding but it aint easy being a TB believer..

Novak just served out the first set without dropping one point on his serve. A good stat. :)

From your keyboard, to Djokovic's racquet.

Well, in the last set he was getting really good depth and was practicing his backhand down the line with a lot of success. He has to have that shot up and running if he is to face Murray and Nadal

A Spaniard that had survived three 5 setters against 4th tier players. Youzhny will give him a much better match.

Well, at least Youzhny - Hewitt was a thriller. I really thought Rusty had it there in the 5th. Stunning fight out of ol' Mikael.

I doubt that. Murray or Berdych will though.
