This is a classic counterpuncher vs. aggressor match. The aggressor (almost) always wins.

Go Vika!

I think Vika might be going down.

Don't forget; Kerber is good at warm-up tourneys only to end up losing early in GSs.

I don't know something tells me if Kerber is going down it will be to Simona. I don't think Vika has it all back quite yet.

Rooting for Kerber in this one. Kerber has been doing what Azarenka was supposed to be doing this year. Winning winnable titles and getting that ranking back up. Kerber has 4 titles this year already and is back in the Live Rankings as of right now at No. 9. But it is time to start making her presence known in the Slams. Should be a good match.

Based off of performance this year, I would prefer a Kerber win. I want Vika to focus on getting herself in a position with her health that she doesn't have a continuous flow of injuries. I think 2016 should be that time frame where she really puts it all together.

This is a hard one to pick. Obviously I want Vika to win as Im a huge fan.

Statistically based on recent play Kerber should win. Around spring she started getting her consistency and confidence back. Yet she rarely puts it together in slams.

I'm still not sure if the retirements we saw from Vika in the summer in smaller tournaments were precautions retirements rather than serious injuries. If they were just precautions and Vika plays even 75% of her best she can beat Kerber.

Way to go Petra! I never know what to expect in every match but she's into the USO 4th round for only the third time in her career! Will play Konta, who beat Petkovic, for her first visit to the USO QF.

Konta is through to the fourth round after a straight-sets win over 18th seed Petkovic! Perhaps a late bloomer at 24? Has had quite a good year before this Slam too!

Feeling frustrated how little of Ashe ESPN is showing when non-American women are on it... Azarenka Kerber match is on Ashe for a reason--it's a spectacular matchup for 3rd round.

Kerber-Azarenka in the 3rd set, Kerber leading 2-1 and on serve. Big match for both players.

Come on Kerber!

Azarenka might just squeak this one, up a break now, 4-3 in the third. She's one of the few players left who Serena-Frodo might fear, as the Ring gets heavier...

Looks that way. Kerber had a couple BPs for a 3-1 lead but Azarenka got out of it and now leads 5-3.

Had to turn off the match though. Cannot stand that ridiculous hooting she does when playing.
