Here is your one-stop place to discuss upsets. Post your upset predictions each day here. Alert fellow viewers of brewing upsets so that they can lay aside the important work they are doing and catch some glimpses of an impending upset. Gloat and/or commiserate after the fact.

I am projecting the following upsets for the opening day (not saying these will be the only ones).

  1. Monica Niculescu to beat Sablenka
  2. S-W Hsieh to beat Iga Swiatek
  3. Katie Swan to beat Madison Keys

You got the 3rd one wrong too, but you're the only one who seems to be counting.
I got all of them wrong.

Good that I am not actually betting money on WTA matches; I would rather buy bitcoin.

Kvitova's loss is disappointing as some "experts" even picked her to lift the trophy considering she is a former two time champion here (but it was quite a while ago).

If these So Called Experts watched Petra play in Hamberg they would not be picking her to win at Wimbledon
That match was on my Pop Corn matches to watch and I was not surprised Sloane won.

I don't think P3tra was ready to play, but because this is her fave surface she gave it a go.

In yet another upset of a top 10 seed, #9 Bencic ousted by an unknown (to me) opponent.

Bencic seems to fall under ball basher category with no finesse. I am increasingly disappointed with her.
