Ok folks. You know the drill. This is your one-stop place to discuss all upsets (projected, brewing and post-match discussions). What is considered an upset is left to your judgment.

Most important purpose of the thread is to alert other people so that people can tune in to the appropriate match and get some live glimpses of upsets.

So far four seeds were upset; Sock, Ferrer, Khachanov and Hasse.

Sock is the second highest seeded American.

A few months back I posted that I had Kachanov as dark horse in slams and potential next big thing. Since then he lost 137 matches and won 2 games and a coin toss.

Gasquet in trouble. Trailing 1-2 in sets and in 4th set trailing 0-3 in games.

Upset brewing. Sasha down 2 sets to 1 against Borna. Borna won both sets in TBs. The body language of both players strongly indicate an upset.

Coric won second set 7-5 and third in a TB, so 7-6. Zverev has been pulling the trigger early in all the rallies

While I did not expect to see Zverev live up to the expectations and reach the final, an upset in R2 would be very underwhelming performance for him.

Coric is playing really well and if Zverev wants to wins this he will have to earn it.

New Kid in the Block upsets Tsonga as predicted. Now, he takes over that Octet and has reasonable chance to make it to QF.
Got to beat Kyle and then most probably PCB. While not a walk in the park, neither is a formidable task.

After just 3 days of play 12 of top 32 seeds have exited including 2 of top 8 (and 4 of top 16). Usually in ATP there will not be this many upsets. I think the large number of injury dropouts promoted many players into undeserved seeded spots. That is the only explanation I have.

Apart from Cilic, the highest seed on the bottom half is Isner!

I watched a good bit of the Coric and Sasha match. Coric played really well. I was hoping for a Sasha win, but to get some new blood really moving forward in the slams, but Coric did impress me.

How about my boy Rublev. I've been talking him up for a couple years - I think he's going to be legit.
