Jankovic wins the first set against Siegemund with a lopsided score of 6-1. If JJ wins, this will technically be an upset as JJ is unseeded and LS is seeded 26.

I am not surprised by any of the above except for Daria. She was playing well coming into this tournament.

1. Heather to oust Samantha who typically buckles under pressure in home soil.
2. Camila's risky game should oust Timea.
3. Lara should take out Yulia.

Most of the players (4 of 6) causing upsets are Americans so far.

As I expected, Sam is in trouble. Down a break in the deciding set. Heather is trying to get double break and a long game is still being played by Sam trying to avoid a double break.
