Tennis.com is celebrating the 50th anniversary of their Tennis Magazine by doing a Tournament of Champions. They have picked 32 Grand Slam title winners from the last 50 years, seeded them by how many Grand Slam titles they won, and decide the winner by deciding who would win on grass, clay and hard courts. The first set is played on clay, the second set is on hard and the final set is on grass. It's interesting to see the two players compared and of course it starts up a huge debate on who should have won and all, but it's interesting to see the set up. The first round is going on now and it will be played out until the final in April 17. Note: The rankings and draws were made at the end of 2014 so Novak Djokovic's ranking would be a bit higher now.

The men's seeds are:
No. 1 Roger Federer
No. 2 Rafael Nadal
No. 3 Pete Sampras
No. 4 Roy Emerson
No. 5 Bjorn Borg
No. 6 Rod Laver

So, how are they going to rig this so Federer wins? Pete will beat Rafa?

^ They could do the smart thing and have one out of many players who will beat Rafa on both grass and hard court sets. Pete is one of them.

They had Mac beat Laver, and Guga beat Mats. This thing isn't based upon anything but rambling subjectivity...

I would have had Rafa beating both Pete and Federer, because that's what Rafa does, but I can't help but concur with their conclusion in the final.

Our Winner: Sampras
3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4

I'd have it reversed. Roger would have been the favorite vs Pete on any hard court, and a pretty big one on slower hard courts. They did have the semi with Rafa correct though similarly, Rafa would be favorite on slow hards while Pete would be favorite on fast hards.
