Four Spaniards filling the top four slots at a grass-court tournament in the Netherlands.

Ferrer has won this twice. I'm curious as to how Bautista-Agut and Pospisil will do, and whether or not Mahut will defend (I'm thinking no).

A headline on the ATP site says Ferrer has withdrew doe to illness. Didn't read the details yet.

Poor Ferrer. I'd hate him to miss Wimbledon.

I know. To miss for injury seems part of sport, but to miss for illness seems like misfortune. Speaking of: I think everyone missed my post that Robin Soderling is coming back. Or at least trying. I thought everyone was interested in that.

I totally missed it. Is he training yet?

What's Ferrer supposed to do at Wimbledon? Not to be mean, but when has he done anything there or any grass court tourney for that matter? Only Lopez outside of Nadal has done much on grass; Verdasco represented well until semi at Wimbledon last year I guess stretching Murray to 5! As usual, he couldn't finish up 2 set to love! :nono

Ferrer reached Wimbledon QF (2012, 2013) so not too shabby really. He's also won this tournament (s-Hertogenbosch) twice. I'm no fan of the guy but clearly he's not too bad on grass going by that.

Actually, you are mean...
Also J.C. Ferrero was 2 times QF at Wimbledon. So Lopez in fact did not have deeper runs at Wimbledon than: Ferrero, Ferrer or Vedasco, all 3 of them have been in the QF.

But he's done well at Queens a few times! He has the game, but like so many of the' Armada,' he doesn't finish opponents off when in a commanding position! He could be 2 points away and will find a way to give it all back all too often! His Stepanek match had some points like that where all he had to do was put an overhead away and he allowed the point to get away from him with 3 chances to close it out! :nono :puzzled

Thanks for bringing facts and research to the conversation, Herios. :)

I'll add that Ferrer has won s-Hertogenbosch twice, so he has done something at "any grass tourney for that matter."

If I haven't heard much about it, no one has; so it's moot!

The facts which Herios and I have pointed out which contradict the misinformation you spread in your previous post aren't moot because you weren't aware of them. They simply mean you were wrong. Their value isn't increased or decreased based on your knowledge alone.

After a horrible spring following his injury suffered in January, finally Pospisil wins 2 mathes in a row, so Yey;)

QF line-up:

Sousa - De Bakker (good opportunity here due to Feru's withdrawal)
Becker - Pospisil
Mahut - Bautista-Agut
Verdasco - Melzer

:clap That's very good news. I like him, and hope he can get back on track to the success he was heading towards last year.

QF line-up:

Sousa - De Bakker (good opportunity here due to Feru's withdrawal)
Becker - Pospisil
Mahut - Bautista-Agut
Verdasco - Melzer

That's an interesting group. I'll be rooting for Sousa, Pospisil, Bautista-Agut, and Verdasco.
