Bernard Tomic arrested after refusing to leave W South Beach room, police say
A professional tennis player was arrested early Wednesday morning for refusing to leave his South Beach hotel room after several noise complaints, police said.
Bernard Tomic, 22, faces charges of trespassing and resisting arrest without violence.
Tomic, who is ranked No. 25 in the world by the Association of Tennis Professionals, won the 2008 Australian Open and the 2009 U.S. Open. He also advanced to the quarterfinals at Wimbledon in 2011.
