Petra wins 7-6 in the 3rd. Too many unforced there from Vee in the end and very good tactics on Kvitovas part going after Vee's FH. Good match!

Wow. Well that is truly heartbreaking. I just.... man. I like Kvitova. And if the match had been a rout or a little less close, I would have been more ok with it. You know. Like if Venus has really wilted earlier in the third set. But to lose like that in the tiebreak... heartbreaking for her. And so I'm not really happy for Kvitova at all. It's all bitter. No sweet. But.... if Wozniacki beats Kerber I'll still be rooting for Kvitova in the final. And even against Kerber I may rooting for her. I like Kerber. But I like Kvitova more. So close for Venus. Showing some really great tennis. Just still doesn't have that youthful consistency or this match may have been very different. But... I mean, whatcha gonna do if you're Venus. Kvitova just went off in the those final 2 service games and tiebreak. Ridiculous serving. Perfectly accurate but still powerful.

Brilliant semifinal - bravo both ladies. Nice to see Venus back on a high level. Congrats to Kvitova for her win - she was great from the midle of the 2nd set. If you look at stats they had 64 winners in all that's a lot and many numbers were equal for both. clap:clap

love venus' tennis but wont miss the outfit or the "hair". she looks old in the outfits and purple hair. needs to dress more youthful and stop tugging at her top.
