What is Tie Break Tens?

Tie Break Tens is a quick-fire version of tennis that anyone can play. Alongside our prestigious international tournaments, we encourage grassroots players to get involved. Tie Break Tens is exciting – and a great way to enjoy a lot of tennis in a short amount of time! Unlike conventional tennis matches, Tie Break Tens matches are comprised solely of tie-breaks – no games, no sets, just exhilarating ten-point tie breaks in which every point counts.

The Tie Break Tens series sees world-class players going head to head in fast-paced, action-packed knock out tournaments for a winner-takes-all prize of $250,000. Each Tie Break Tens tournament sees eight men and eight women battle it out in one thrilling three-and-a-half-hour event.

Berdych over Rafa for the title. I read Rafa played very welll and the one negative point is Rafa is still choosing a return of service position in Sydney.

Here's an overview of the "tournament". Hewitt...wtf?! Beat Novak. Wawrinka pulled out of this one, too.

Not sure I'm buying that.

BTW, Novak has a new, shortened motion on his serve, I guess to accommodate the elbow. And a compression sleeve.

Just look at the point Rafa plays at 1:35 on Hewitt's serve, then the reaction from Djokovic, et.al in the peanut gallery. That's a shot across the bow for the AO:

That clearly proves that Rafa is capable of defeating any retired player. :lol6:

On a serious note, after pulling Rafa wide, Hewitt hit it almost to the middle instead of in the the other corner. If it were the
other corner, Rafa' speed might not be enough to get to it.

Aw, you're just bummed because Rafa has put some fear into the competition and is looking rather sprightly going into the AO. (Did you note their reactions, including Nole's?) Not to mention that old man Hewitt did Djokovic in. Let's just say it: the format favored Hewitt and he made the most of it. He played well! One reason it was good for Rafa, I'll say, is that it made him play pretty aggressively, which was a good exercise before going into the AO.

Great point, vintage recovery from Rafa. Got himself in that position though by returning from the second ring.
