To me, T.O. and Moss are basically equals. I don't prefer one to the other, in a general sense. Both have been extremely intelligent players and are very gifted. I place them in the same category.
T.O. has a perfectionist and idealistic mindset of a very unique nature. That is what has gotten him into trouble so often. His arrogance at times went overboard, but the fundamental reason for the tensions he experienced was the perfectionist/idealistic aspiration he had along with his high IQ.
Skip Bayless has, despite being a Terrell Owens critic for years, relayed the story on numerous occasions of getting a call from the great Bill Walsh when Bayless was a reporter in the bay area and being told by Coach Walsh that T.O. was the smartest receiver he ever coached in chalkboard sessions.
But, like Moss, T.O. was a fabulous receiver. They both exemplified exceptional talent and ideal mindset for the receiver position (and playmaking in general).
