LOL I could talk about the Beatles for hours...

With this topic i am going to concentrate on the rarer material but am relying on you to fill up the rest with their famous tunes...

This is my favourite Beatles song.

Listening to & singing along to this song & Bette Midler's "the rose" has helped me through many hard times. I've shared 1 with song-words so people can join in.

Just a mention :

What follows were the takes/jam/remix's from ANTHOLOGY 3 (released in 1996) that WILL NOT be included on the soon-to-be released Abbey Road 50th Box:

Ain't She Sweet (Jam from July '69)
All Things Must Pass (demo)
Because (acappella) - Box is take 1 instrumental
Come Together (Take 1) - Box is take five
Maxwell's Silver Hammer (take 5) - box is take twelve
Old Brown Shoe (Demo) - box is take two
Octopus's Garden (mix of takes two and eight) - box will be take 9
The End (Remixed with more guitars and A Day In The Life end) - Box is take three

therefore Beatles diehards , you better not part with your Anthology 3 copies.

Thank you Horsa. No I haven't. You reside near there ?
You're welcome, Vince. I've been to Liverpool but "The Beatles Story" cost £18.95 to go in per person & had huge queues so I didn't go in. I sung along to the music you could hear across the road though. I went in the Maritime museum & looked around town. No. I live in Yorkshire. I just thought that as you were a big Beatles fan you might have been.

two versions here:

the second was an earlier take, done slower before the fab four completed all of the verses.

Come Together spliced from takes 5 and 1 - This is my Pseudo splice on takes 5 and 1 (from Anthology #3 album) in order to create a completed take. Can you detect where i joined it together?

time for some more Beatles related stuff. I want to introduce some tracks that mentions or refers to the Beatles as in novelty songs in order to mix things up here.

Even legendary DJ Casey had a Beatles novelty single/45. Good heavens.

One gripe I had was that they renamed Speke Airport in Liverpool, "Liverpool John Lennon Airport".

It should have been renamed "Liverpool Paul McCartney Airport".

Paul always did (and continues to do) far more for his home city than John ever did.

Yes, especially when you consider Lennon left England in 1970/71 and fought like hell to become an US citizen (granted 1977).

A Day in the Life, but as a stand alone piece without the audience applause seguing during the intro part.
