Two time major winner Svetlana Kuznetsova has won her first title in over a year with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over fellow Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova at the Kremlin Cup in Moscow.
“Finally my dream has come true. I’m really happy to win this particular title†stated Kuznetsova after the match, clearly happy to have won on home soil.
The match was not particularly competitive with Pavlyuchenkova struggling after an exhausting sequence of matches which saw her play 10 times in 12 days.
THe head to head between the two was extended to 4-1 in favour of Kuznetsova.
