It will be interesting to see how Grigor does here after his AO heroics. Janowicz is not an easy opponent in your first match ...

PS. RBA & Goffin through to the QF.

According to the ATP website, Mannarino isn't a seed btw. Muller, Klizan & Troicki all made it through to R2.

Top seed is kicked out here as well, like in Montpellier.
Thiem is upset by Basilashvili; 4-6, 4-6.

Thiem is really having a tough spell. We used to have a poster which was close to him, I guess. I wonder what is happening.

Hard fought win for Dimitrov. Janowicz is coming back from injury but seems to be finding some form again. Hope he climbs back on the rankings. If we were to have a bad boy doing well, that´s the one I would root for.

Thiem plays too many tournaments, he should take it easy before his body say: "enough!"

Out of curiosity just watched most of Dimitrov´s win against Troicky. First of all, Janowicz and Troicky as rounds one and two of a 250´s... talk about a tough draw.

Dimitrov played just a bit better on set 1 and won it after fending off a few early break points. He was being overplayed on set two and found a way to win. I never put much stock when people say that is what great players do (for me great players play great), but, yes, I see that happen more often than I would like. So, in such a sense, this was a good win for Dimitrov. Once he fended off the innumerous break points in the second set, in I would guess all his first three service games, while Troicky was navigating in 40-0 service games, he stepped up, found a break and never looked back.

It is just the round of 8 of a 250, but still a good sign.

Dimitrov-Goffin: AO quarterfinal rematch.

Thiem is overrated, I'm afraid. He's a good player, but as I've said before his career profile is more of a second tier type (e.g. Tsonga, Berdych) than a multi-Slam winner. He might win a Slam or two, but it will more be because of a "Wild West" scenario.

Congrats to Grigor on winning the title. He is not letting his momentum slide. He has lost only one match in the whole of 2017. :clap
