I am starting this thread for all the Winter Olympics discussion.

For starters, I have a couple of tennis pros carrying the Olympic torch.

And then we have our first full day of games.

Norway is leading the medal race, they have 4 after the first day.

Thanks for starting the thread, Kiu. Sharapova has featured especially nicely in the PR. Nice for tennis, since ours is a summer sport.

I'll be watching figure skating most avidly. I'm enjoying the new sport, Slopestyle, though I also find it absolutely terrifying.

I'm stunned by how much time the slope style skiers spend skiiing backwards. In my skiing life, that was always considered an error. LOL!

Sorry bout Patrick Chan! He was so close in the figure skating! Blew it; just needed to stay on his feet! Oh well, another Silver to Canada following Orsor & Elvis! He has one more in him so he can match them or surpass them! :nono :huh: :angel:
