I just hope they are as good of a host as Istanbul was.

It will be hard for Singapore to equal Istanbul in terms of fan support.

Yeah tennis in Asia is pretty dicey in general in terms of turn out for tennis events. This was a big gamble by the WTA.

I think they should have signed on for 3 more years in Turkey. The men have found a home at the O2 arena in London and they are staying put for awhile. The only way I see Asia pulling in enough fan support is if Li Na qualifies for the final 8 every year.

Yes, but even then they will only attract a big crowd for the sessions that Li Na is involved in whereas in Istanbul each session was a sell-out. I agree that they should have given it to Istanbul for another three years, or even permanently. They earned to keep it as a reward for their support and enthusiasm in my opinion. It's more fun for the girls to play in such an atmosphere as well. But sadly enough it doesn't work that way.
