About San Jose

San Jose is a large city surrounded by rolling hills in Silicon Valley, a major technology hub in California's Bay Area. Architectural landmarks, from the 1883 Italianate-style Oddfellows building to Spanish Colonial Revival structures, make up the downtown historic district. The downtown area is also home to the Tech Museum of Innovation, devoted to the exploration of science and technology.

WTA upset of the year!
Serena, currently in-form (despite "geriatric" status) because she's fresh wimby runner-up, swallowed a stick and a bagel, the worst loss of her WTA career:
https://nypost.com/2018/08/01/serena-williams-just-suffered-the-worst-loss-in-her-career/
from the hands of Sydney-born Brit - Konta. So not just regular Brits, but also you BB, per your avatar name, and myself a little bit per my home location, are proud of this up-setter girl - Konta. What a win!

Wow, that is an embarrassing score line and an under an hour match.

This is even more embarrassing considering that Konta is not really doing well this year.

Maybe with all her moaning what's happened is they're actually testing her properly for once and that's her normal level.

I hadn't heard about this until this afternoon! Wow, shocking! I'm surprised this didn't make international news unless they're trying to hide Serena's decline! That's fk'n horrible to see if I were ever a fan!   :rip:

@Fiero425 She's had some stinkers before. It happens. I remember Simona opening a can of whoop-ass on her at the tour championships and she was in way better form then.
