I think what needs to be said is in the Slams where Serena has little to defend, and that is where most of the top player's ranking points come from in the end. I mean 4th round AO, 2nd round FO, and 3rd round Wimbledon. I think we can all agree those can be vastly improved. Essentially, she has more wiggle room to improve next year than she did going from 2013 to 2014.
