Shenzhen Open
Category: ATP World Tour 250
Place: Shenzhen, China
Date: 28.09.2015-04.10.2015
Draw Size: S-28 D-16
Surface: Hard
Defending Champion: Andy Murray

Murray isn't defending the title, so Berdych is the top ranked seed.

Seeds and tournament information here:

http://www.atpworldtour.com/en/tournaments/shenzhen/6967/overview?detailTab=seeds

This looks ripe for the taking for Berdych or Cilic.

It would be really bad if Tomas doesn't do well here.  Frankly, the honeymoon should be over by now.

Bedene was beaten by the young sensation Chung today 6:2  6:0.  I have yet to see him play but I read a bit about him and he also looks like a promising star.  Good win today against an older, veteran player.  He now faces Cilic, who also won today, so let's see how he does against him.

Other two winners include Mannarino and GG Lopez so quarterfinals look like this:

Robredo vs Bolelli

Berdych vs Vesely (the Czech showdown)

Chung vs Cilic

Mannarino vs GG Lopez

Nice matches, too bad I'll have to miss them.

Looks like Chung fought well but it wasn't enough so he lost to Cilic.  The veteran Czech also won.

Semi finals will have Berdych vs Robredo and Garcia-Lopez vs Cilic.

Come on Tomas!

Tomas Berdych wins the title (his 11th ATP title) beating Spain's Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-3 7-6.

This must have been a nightmare final for players and friends as it took over sixteen hours to get the job done.

Yeah, the dreaded rain delays.  Thank god they were able to finish the final on Monday.  Congrats to Berdych, his first title of the year.  I am a bit sad for Garcia-Lopez, it was a good opportunity for him as well as he has played some good tennis lately.
