About Shenzhen:

Shenzhen, in southeastern China, is a modern metropolis that links Hong Kong to China’s mainland. It's known for its shopping destinations, including Luohu Commercial City, a massive mall with a vast array of wares, from tailors’ custom clothing to faux designer bags. The city also features contemporary buildings, such as the 600m-tall skyscraper Ping An International Finance Centre, and a number of amusement parks.

I'm rooting for young Stefanos Tsitsipas here.

He is a very likable guy, but I am not sold yet. He was inspired that week in Toronto, with Greek days going on at the time and visiting Danforth almost every night. Sort of reminded me of Shapovalov the previous year in Montreal. We'll see.

He seems to be a more solid player than Shap but with a little less flair perhaps. Did you know he nearly drowned a few years ago? He said he played without fear after that incident.

I didn't know about drowning, that must have been scary for him. Don't know about being more solid player than Shapovalov, but to me his personality is more likable than Shapovalov's. There were huge fires going on in Greece that week as well and he was worried about people back home. I first heard about him a few years back in the juniors, then perhaps 2 years ago in off season he was training with Nole in MC and posted some pictures so I remembered him from then as well. Glad he is doing well, even though there have been no results to speak of after that week in Toronto, but he is young, I'll give him some time.

And Denis Shapovalov got beaten by Nishioka.
Disappointing by both youngsters, Denis and Stefanos.

Has anyone watched Murray vs Goffin? It was too late for me to stay up. What are your impressions?

One does begin to wonder how long it's going to take Murray to get back to form, or if it happens.

I think he will be back in the top 20, but top 5 quite doubtful. His surgery usually does not bode well with the type of tennis he was playing.

Of the 4 players remaining, only Fernando Verdasco has titles won.
The other 3: Herbert, Nishioka and De Minaur don't have any.
I am curious to see the outcome here .
