I fly/drove/traveled around my share during my 20s and 30s but I don't think I ever really liked it. I haven't back to to the states in eight years because I despise flying and staying in hotels anymore. It's amzing how these players, even with their team helping them travel, keep going the way they do.
And what's with Serena's Wicked Witch of the West getup? Sorry, Couldn't resist after seeing the pics.
Exactly right. She made a promise to them, it's a huge fee and she doesn't want to disappoint pulling out. Can she win it? Of course. It's mostly made up of 3rd tier clay courters and Swedes. Last time she played the thing, she was probably at "C" level and still won it w/ a couple of 3-setters.Fiero425 said:colleen66 said:She looks tired after dancing the night away with The Joker, lol.
I know she's played it in the past, but I can only guess it's as a favor to someone or the appearance fee is huge! Red clay of all things; can she win it? I would think she would be exhausted by now!

In view of CGS, she should drop Stanford and WTT, IMO.
Sundaymorningguy said:I think she will drop something. She can't drop Bastad as she made a commitment after not being able to play last year. Nothing to say that she might not take herself out after a couple rounds unless it proves easy. I can see her not playing Toronto. Cincy she is defending so that is dicey. If she makes a go of Bastad, then she might come up with a reason to avoid Stanford.
