Shapo opens the business at Ashe tomorrow. If Shapo goes on to win this year's USO, he would have played all his matches in Ashe Stadium except for the first round match. He has indeed become a star.

Shapo will be ranked 51 when the ranking list is released after USO. This would mean that he would get direct entry into future slams. But, it is still not high enough to fetch direct entry into Masters events.

I was thinking Shapo was the player to have had a huge improvement in ranking this year. But, I am wrong. Mathew Ebden had even larger improvement in his ranking this year though his current ranking is about 30 spots below that of Shapo.
