We will see how much the crowd tries to get into the Errani match. Is this the first clay meeting for Sam and Vika?

Match of the day is probably Azarenka vs Stosur. Although it's Sam's surface I still pick Vika to win.

For the other QF I pick JJ, Masha and Serena. But I'm sure I'm wrong about at least one of them because there's always bound to be a surprise. ;)

Stosur is no pushover on clay...but I want a pova-vika semi

I don't really care what Serena does here! Her form into the French means nothing if she doesn't come away with the big prize of Roland Garros. Hopefully, she can calm any uneasiness she might have arise in her first round at the French. I suspect there will be some edginess there given what happened last year great form or not.

Yes it is, all 7 previous meetings were on hardcourts!

You think Slammin' Sammy has a chance?
I doubt it although she took Vika to 3 sets on that super match in US open last year.

Does anyone think Carla can give us a good match against Serena?
I think so, Carla is not the kind of player who would try to hit harder, which obviously doesn't work too good against Serena.

I think Carla can give Serena fits, but Carla will have to serve well. Serena is returning very well. Serena is also starting to serve better in general just in time for the French.

Well, so much for my predication of Kirilenko taking out Errani, shows how much I know!! Hope Maria's knee is not too badly hurt. Did anyone see that match? Carla's play has really come on, I was not impressed with her when I saw her last year, but she has made great strides this season. Don't think she has quite enough weapons to dispose of Serena, but she could give her a bit of a challenge. Vika if on form should handle Sam. Those are the only two I will throw my hat at.:)

I always find it interesting when players have met that many times, but always on the same surface, then suddenly have to meet on a different one.

You think Slammin' Sammy has a chance?
I doubt it although she took Vika to 3 sets on that super match in US open last year.

My gut is telling me Stosur, so I'll go with her in three sets.

Just heard that Maria withdraws from Rome. No idea if it's true or not or if she has some kind of injury.
