Matches of the day...
Rosol vs. F3: Because Nadal fans want revenge against Rosol and because I like F3.
Verdasco vs. Tipsarevic: To see who can choke it away THIS time!

Good ones! I picked the Fog in my draw, and he should be the man on clay, if he holds his form and his head together. But I wouldn't mind if Nadal gets a shot at Rosol, either.

What about Haase v. Janowicz? Big-hitter battle.

Well being a Rafa fan I would not mind if Rosol won.In saying that I think the Fog will prevail.
I am also a Jerzy fan and against Haase it will be a 'big hitter battle'.I have to pick Jerzy in 4 sets.

I hope that Rosol can beat Rafa again. I don't think that Fognini has a chance against him.

It's raining again, this stupid wether bores me

Congrats to Grigor for making it to the 3R of a Slam for the first time. That's kind of hard to believe that he's never made it this far, but I suppose that's what you get when you're seeded - you get to avoid Novak Djokovic in the 1R.

Up next is, well, Novak Djokovic. I suspect Novak won't be getting the same surprise he got a few weeks ago, not at a Slam.

Hanescu into the 3rd, with Tursunov retiring in the second set TB, with hamstring injury. Interesting that Hanescu benefited by another injury retirement by Tomic in R1, also by hamstring injury.
To Victor's credit, he was leading in both matches.
Great to see my fellow Romanian, having such a comeback, a year ago he was down in rankings to 150 , he has a better season and now he will get into the top 50 again.

It was the logical outcome. Fognini's best surface is clay and he's had a run into the QF here. Rosol is an improved player since he has beaten Rafa, but not anywhere close yet to go deeper into a slam. At Wimbledon upsets are more frequent earlier in the event, as the slick surface is a factor.
When I see how anxious some Rafa fans are to see a revenge, it cracks me up actually:D

What better to place to try and have his revenge than Wimbledon where frankly Rosol has a much better chance anyway. Grass suits his game much better. I see Nadal's match has been postponed till tomorrow. Already a day behind with 2nd round matches thanks to the poor weather in Paris. Sucks for both fans and players.

Not so much revenge, at least in my case, as a stat-nerd's desire to see the H2H evened up. Anyway, as Front rightly says, "revenge" will more rightly come at Wimbledon, or on a HC. (And it will! :clap)

Did anyone watch No1e's match? I went to bed when Sam and kristina were sent to the dressing room, so i missed No1e's match. Next is against DiMitrov, lets see how that looks like when No1e is prepared.

Especially in the first couple of rounds, when they're trying to get through 140+ matches (I'm including doubles). It winds up pushing the top guys later into the first week, eventually forcing them to play more than half the tournament in the second week.

At this point, Rafa won't make it out of the second* round before Friday -- and that's assuming it doesn't rain tomorrow. If it does, it could end up being Saturday before he's played two matches.

EDIT: I just realized I initially wrote first round.
