Hmmm...kind of surprised Maria isn't playing on Phillipe. Maybe they want to make sure she plays her match tomorrow. I can see Berdych/Tsonga and Fed/Monfils going long and Mugu/Flavia not finishing their match.

Well, they have to rotate out, so that all the ladies have an opportunity to play on the top court in case they make it that far later.

Maria hasn't played on Lenglen yet, so this is her rotation as Sunday called it. If the men run long, they'll move Flavia/Mugu to a different court and they don't play QF until Tues.

I hope Muguruza wins her match I want to see her play Maria. I hope Ivanovic continues to do well. I can't tolerate another Makarova flame out in the later stages of a slam.

I guess after that booing they had to kick her off Phillipe..it was becoming too obvious that they were favoring pova..even Rafa Roger and Novak have all played on Lenglen. Why does she always need help with the draw and scheduling I thought she is very tough and can play anywhere to win.I remember when she lost on court 2 at Wimbledon..it was a shock to her system..:snicker

Cornet is such a drama queen. She doesn't like a line call, so she pulls a Hingis and on the changeover walks over to the opposite line to check the mark herself. Bad form. :nono

Meanwhile on Lenglen, Ana turns a match around where she was down a set and comes through 6-1 in the 3rd over Maka. She's the first to make it to the QF.

Nice win for Ana. Makarova is NOT an easy opponent. Nice to see Ana back in the QFs at the place of her greatest triumph.

Agreed...and it seems to be every match she's in which is why I try to avoid her matches. Now if Svitolina knew how to end a match....

Don't you know closing a match is an art form? They apparently aren't teaching it at the Bolliterri! :cover

Congrats to Ana for a QF appearance. It was looking rather doubtful given her recent form. I hope this gives her the kick she needs interns of confidence.

Makarova seems to be making a habit of fading fast during big matches. Is it her stamina (lack of) or is it mental (lack of confidence)?

She's fit enough, it's definitely between the ears.

That means they will probably get moved to Lenglen or Court 1 because the schedule is already stacked tomorrow w/ the Big 3 and Serena. Now these players on this side of the draw will not have a day of rest after the R16. They'll have to play QF on Tues.

I suppose it is a good thing Kvitova isn't playing today or is it? I don't think these conditions would work in her favor and would probably only help equalize things for her opponent.
