Serena, Petra, Novak and Nadal. They have to spread the star power around.

Looking forward to the Berdych-Nishioka match. Very happy to see Nishioka make the main draw and now play Berdych.

Venus vs. Sloane. Now there's a match I'd pay to see. Should be interesting.

It was easy enough to say Martina's coaching style was the problem for Aga...but they have parted ways and she's still losing to lesser-knowns very early in tourneys:puzzled
Was her confidence so eroded by her partnership with Martina that she can't recover?

I know clay isn't her favorite, but 1st round???:nono

Very disappointing. I'm starting to wonder if she will be able to turn it around.

Hmmm... is it me or has Sharapova toned down the noise a lot? Or is it just that the opponent doesn't pose any threat?

It's not you Berg....she has.
It's interesting...because now we know that she's capable of reducing the level.
Folks have been saying that it's too late for those players to change the noises that emanate when they play their points...but obviously it's not.

I never had any doubt. I've watched her practice at Wimbledon and she never made a sound. I guess the noise is like the Jerzy Janowicz tactic! :nono

Why the hell is it that Venus always has to play last and in the dark. This is so darn annoying.

Happy for Daria, Kerber, Vika, Carla. Disappointed with Aga.

It will take a bit of time to purge Martin's coaching from her head, but I think Aga will recover. She is too good to be outside top ten.

Stosur seems to be playing well. Too bad Pova will end her run.

Kerber, Mugu, and Carla in the same eighth is cruel.

Again, look who maria plays in the 2nd round and look who Serena will be playing. Unfrigging believable. Of all #1 players Serena always, always get the toughest draw. And she too, always plays at the weird times just like Venus. You are right for all these two has done for tennis they get no respect whatsoever. This is who pova plays next Vitalia Diatchenko, she's just coming back from injury and hardly anyone has heard of her.

Wonder if Sloane can keep the pressure up here at 3-1 in the 2nd...
