great article. Interesting that both Rafa and Andy get a mention as people he likes most on the tour

Good read and Fed clearly not bothered about any sort of "legacy protection", just loves playing the sport.

Enjoyed the whole article but this segment particularly:

So many fans thought that, as soon as he stopped bossing the game, he would just walk away. “Yes,” he says, “I’ve heard retirement [talk]since 2009 when I won the French Open and people were like, well, what else are you playing for? I’m like, what’s wrong with you people? Don’t you understand that playing tennis is great fun? I don’t need to win three slams a year to be content. If the body doesn’t want to do it, if the mind doesn’t want to do it, if my wife doesn’t want me to do it, if my kids don’t like it, I’ll stop tomorrow. Zero problem. But I love tennis in such a big way that I don’t care if I don’t win so much any more. For me that is irrelevant.”

good to see that he is hanging on for love of the game. If legacy was so important, then guys over 30 should just retire as inevitably their career winning percentages would take a dive....for example their H-H against younger players would surely drop, just like that Roger lost his winning H-H against Djoker when he was 34, and surely he'll end up with more losing H-H against more youngsters as well.

Rafa also could've hung up his racquet earlier when he had winning H-H against almost all others.

Credit to Master @Federberg :)

Any pre-tournament thoughts on Federer's Wimbledon campaign murat?

Tough one Brit. The way I see it, grass has become a double edged sword for Roger. If he can dominate the point and finish quick, great...But if he gets into a baseline rally, his foot speed is not there anymore to keep up with good hitters and the speed of the grass becomes a disadvantage. Add the back to that equation, I am not very hopeful this year. I would love to be surprised though and see another final

I would never have expected this. Given how poor his 5 set record is...

Lol! Let's hope the 7th game in the 3rd set that you watch on Monday is a happy match closing game for the maestro!
