FAO the mods: I'm not sure this deserves it's own thread but I am curious to know what people think. Can you please merge it with another thread if you feel it's required?
Before the US Open started I read some comments that Tommy Haas made with regard to practice at the slams and masters events that include WTA players. I'm afraid I can't remember what forum I read it on but the gist of it was that it can be very difficult for players to get the time required on the practice courts because the women never share courts. He said male players share courts all the time. I know that before and during this slam Murray has hit with Nadal, Wawrinka, Berdych and numerous other players. I know all the top 10-20 guys hit with each other all the time.
Why aren't the female players sharing a court? I know a lot of their hitting partners and coaches are men but should should they not be adding more variety? Should they not be hitting with the players they will be competing against? Should the female players get less court time if they're not prepared to share?
