It would be a big coincidence if her parents didn't name her after Serena. It seems she is around 14 or 15 which means she would have been born around the same time Serena won her first slam. Perhaps some foreshadowing by her parents!

I feel sorry for her. It's one thing to be named after Serena, but obviously her parents have also made her play tennis. It's too much pressure for a young girl to live up to that name. Plus, she may actually hate tennis, but is being forced into it, which makes the situation even worse.

Just because she's named after her doesn't mean she's like her. If it worked that way, I'd change my name to Warren Buffet.

I use to work with a lady whose name was Venus Williams. She was way, way older than our Venus and she taught Special Ed. I swear she was just as slow as the kids she taught, she was not effective at all with those kids. I think she taught SE for so many years that she has adapted to the same challenges the kids had/have.
