I have a question for you knowledgable folks at Tennis Frontier, especially the technically minded among you.
I know that Novak's improved FH was one of the reasons for his massive improvement in 2011 (along with much-improved serve, improved fitness, improved mental strength, change of racquet, change of diet etc). I was just wondering - what exactly did he change about the FH, technically speaking, to improve it? What were the technical flaws with it before that were holding him back? Are these flaws now completely eradicated? Were the technical flaws in his forehand earlier in his career on a par with Andy Murray's, or were they always less severe?
How long did this process take? Did it happen during the 2010 off season, and he arrived fully formed with a better FH at the start of 2011, or was it a more gradual thing? Who masterminded this change - Vajda??
I'd be very grateful for any information/analysis on any of this that anyone can offer!
