Nole had 16.145 points a couple of weeks ago (with Beijing and Shanghai points included). I read somewhere (I am pretty sure I can find it again) about Federer's points at the end of 2006 season. He then had about 15,550 points. A guy calculated all Federer's results from that year and applied the ranking points from nowadays. We'll see how Nole fares at the end of the season and maybe we can compare it then. Even in 2006 Federer had a couple of 250 and 500 tournaments more than Nole has this year. Except the very first tournament in Doha, which is 250, Nole made every other tournament final (2 500, all but 1 masters 1000 and all 4 slams) up to now, which is also better than what Federer did in 2006, as he lost early in Cincy that year.
