Next young top player

alex zverev put on quite a show against nadal at indian wells... No one's risen quite like he has this year. Do you think he'll break into the top 20 anytime soon? How will he do in miami? He has a pretty easy first match.

Hey tennisfan! I'm a big fan of Zverev... I think he breaks the Top 20 before he's 20 years old... and maybe even zones in on the Top 10.

For me, he's got the biggest upside of all the young guns and I think he'll grow into that big frame. Nice footwork, decent movement, nice technique... I like his mentality... other than the dropped vase against Nadal at Indian Wells, but hey, the kid is young - he will make mistakes. But this one is a keeper IMO, he's going all the way to the top.

Well this is me buying stock in zverev then... I put alot down on him beating nadal by the way, and when he shanked that match point i was upset. I think his style may not be so favorable for the clay in the french open, but watch out in wimbledon. Hes going farther than people think.

Welcome, tennisfan! I like Zverev, and he could do well in Miami. I'd like to see him get another shot at Berdych and beat him. You may be right that RG won't suit him too much, but, if he keeps building momentum, he could be a huge threat by Wimbledon.

a bit of reservation about Zverev's mental toughness, he does hit huge both sides and shows no glaring technical weakness but i thought Fed or Nadal were better finishing off top opponents at same age?

it was a volley for a sitter to be put into open court, had he gone through he could've built some real confidence and measure himself against the best (Novak of course). don't know if this comes back to haunt further down.
