I have always said the blue clay looked gorgeous on TV, for the record. If they couldn't make it not slippery, then that's another question. As to the YEC, I do think London shouldn't have 2 of the biggest tournaments of the year. Selfishly, I don't want it to go back to Asia, because it's so hard to watch from where I live. I love that Turin is on the list...I used to live there...so I'd vote for that. If they do send it back to Asia, wouldn't it make more sense to swap Paris-Bercy for an Asian venue? It seems punitive to send the top players half-way around the world for one tournament and then back again.I particularly like the feel that they obtained in the O2. As a viewing experience, It is the second best tournament I have ever seen. The only thing that tops it is the blue clay in Madrid (I like the "normal" one too, by the way), but I surely don't expect you savages to understand it.
That's the keypoint. I'd emphasise it: especially at the end of the season when players are tired of non-stop travelling throughout. It seems punitive to send the top players half-way around the world for one tournament and then back again.
Paris has long complained that players come hobbled to that tournament, and often bail. If they put the YEC in Asia, most of those who qualify for YEC would almost certainly opt out of Paris. However they decide the next venue for YEC, they're going to have to consider this other part of the calendar. That's the keypoint. I'd emphasise it: especially at the end of the season when players are tired of non-stop travelling throughout.
I guess Singapore'll win

And everyone thinks you have to be a Nadal fan to think that it should move around and rotate surfaces. Won't happen anytime soon, but I would like it. Definitely think it should leave London, but I'll be sorry if it goes to Asia.I prefer to go back to the "Stone Age" of pro tennis when the event moved around the world and was competed on different surfaces! I can still see and remember G. Vilas going 5 sets in Melbourne on grass to defeat the "real Master" in 5 sets in '74! Back then Ilie Nastase owned it winning 4 of 5 years IIRC; even when he'd lose a RR match! There was no TB in the 3rd set and the SF was played BO5! You had to work to win it back then! Now it's a mere shell of itself BO3 throughout! It was bad enough the 1000 events went soft; now the final's a bit of a joke and little more than an exhibition IMO! It normally doesn't determine anything even though significant money and points given to win rounds that some players in the past would WD from with mysterious injuries or illnesses!

I had no intention of accusing you of being a Nadal fan. I thought you got the point.Well the whole world knows not to put that moniker on me; haven't cared for the guy since day one back in '05! He just rubbed me the wrong way! Even if they were to stay on hardcourts, it should still move around the world IMO to give others the experience! Back in the day, they'd carry a carpet around so they can lay that out anywhere; even on an ice rink!
Obviously self centred thick head would not get itI had no intention of accusing you of being a Nadal fan. I thought you got the point.
What's Brexit got to do with it?I guess people should not forget that London is not giving up. The other cities mentioned are just co-contenders. London WTF brings lot of cash into the coffers that it will be difficult for other cities to come even close. Anyway, if at all Brexit happens, Singapore will be the most likely winner. They have lot of money. Also, they have experience from hosting Women's WTF.
What's Brexit got to do with it?
