I'm shocked a thread wasn't created ages ago! The NBA Playoffs are off and running w/ HOME teams winning the lion's share of the games! :astonished-face:

1st Round:

Cleveland 2-1 up on Orlando
76'rs down 1-2 to the Knicks
Boston 1-1 with Miami
Thunder 2-0 over Pelicans

Suns down 0-2 to Minn.
Bucks 1-1 with Indy
Clippers 1-1 with Dallas
Denver up 3-0 over The Lakers

- - UPDATED Results Thurs., April 25th, 11:30 PM - - (My B'day) :joker::partying-face::partying-face::partying-face::bagel:

The pretend GOAT struggled just to make the playoffs, but won their "play-in" on the last days of the season! They're now down 0-2 to the Denver Nuggets who've owned them for well over a year losing 10 straight including Div. games in the playoffs! Trying to anoint LB as the GOAT is making him look worse each season as he "hangs on" hoping to play alongside his son, Bronny! Complaining about a call after having a 20 point lead in Game 2 was amusing to see yet again! Missing that "open 3" w/ no one in the picture defending is his legacy IMO! He's always a minute late & a $ short! LB's probably under other greats w/ fewer NBA Chp.! Anthony Davis didn't help the cause "mouthing off" about his defensive skills as he allowed the Nuggets to come all the way back and win last night! Murray buried it in AD's face to go up 2-0 in Denver! :face-with-head-bandage: :face-with-hand-over-mouth: :astonished-face: :fearful-face:

The NBA is rivaling the NFL. That's not a good thing. The officiating is so bad these days, that one of my fave sports has become unwatchable.

To me, LeBron became the GOAT in 2018 when he took that sorry ass Cavs team to the Finals. The 2020 title only furthered that distance. So what if LeBron is a little late and a dollar short at times. He's 39 and in his 21st season. It's going to happen. We've got 33, 34, and 35-year-old players that are aging worse that LeBron. He may not have the Championships as previous legends, but even in years that he didn't win the Championship, his teams have gone deep into the playoffs. His 10 NBA Finals and 12 conference finals appearances is more than what most franchises have.

LeBron has made his legacy. Anything he does going forward is icing on the cake.

personally I don't see any scenario where Lebron can be described as the GOAT. The guy accumulates stats, doesn't take responsibility for his failures and hasn't won enough. No way does he compare to MJ. Frankly I have a hard time placing him above either Kobe or Magic, and I don't even like Lakers. He's not even dominated his era. If after all is said and done Steph gets another ring, it's a wrap imho..

Never was a fan of the guy! They were pushing his "so called" greatness since High School! The only way I put LJ even in the Top 10 all time is his 20+ years of play & finally overcoming the career points of Jabbar! There have been too many other players who were clutch! James' gears were stripped in Cleveland being gifted one of his Championships due to an insane Draymond Green of GSW! It's one thing to name so many players from the last couple eras, but how can you skip Russell & Chamberlain? Magic is The GOAT to a bunch of other people as he could play all 5 positions; needing to replace Jabbar when injured in the playoffs back in '80! Underachievers like Durant can't be considered on the list IMO! IDK why I should care though? I'm not that big a basketball fan; esp. of late w/ such bad technique, play, & strategy! The officiating has $uck'd of late as well even w/ instant replay at the ready to eliminate bad decisions! :face-with-head-bandage: :face-with-hand-over-mouth: :astonished-face: :fearful-face:

I was watching Halliburton last night against the Celtics. The amount of carrying was just insane. The idea that these guys are more skilful than previous generations is laughable. They're just allowed to get away with stuff now that's all

If it was Luka, Kyrie or LeBron the foul on McDaniel would have been called. Stan Van Gundy said they were going to have to come up with something to correct..Kat hurts the team with his spacing the floor by taking the 3s..Dallas big men aren't skilled but they are standing in the paint waiting for lobs. Rudy presence in late game situations as we talked about earlier a major liability . I truly believe Friday game #2 Western conference finals was a fixed game.

All the officiating stinks. Like I said earlier, they are ruining my fave sport as it has become unwatchable. I used to be so excited come NBA playoff time. Now sometimes I don't tune in until the conference finals and even then I'm watching the 2nd half only. The sport is just marred to me. The calls are so uneven it's laughable. There are 3 refs out there and between 3 sets of grown men's eyes, they swallow their whistles for 85% of the game. Dudes are getting straight up mangled and run over and they won't call a foul when they are intentionally trying to do it.

Yep..the NBA definitely doesn't want to the "Opolis " final between Minneapolis and Indianapolis

You mean like a forearm shiver Rudy Gobert threw across the torso of Doncic? I'm so glad 2 FT's awarded & possession! It all helped in comebk! ;-)

I don't understand your point. Are you saying that the foul was too hard? Good grief man, go look at fouls in the 80s and 90s especially the Bulls, Knicks and Pistons. Luka whines about everything, it's almost unbearable to watch.

you should see some of the egregious crap that goes on in the regular season. Some of the stuff they allow to get done against Steph Curry is just beyond belief! It would be fine if they weren't give fouls for barely touching other guys. It almost makes you wonder if there's some sort of Nike collusion going on. It really degrades the integrity of the sport

this is the primary reason I don't watch the reg season. I can barely stand it during the postseason.

It's a shame but I prefer a blowout instead of a good close game due to the bias officials.. Step Curry is one star who doesn't receive preferred treatment like Luka, LeBron, Jokic or Tatum and Brown of the Celtics.

do you think it's an Under Armour thing? I've never understood it, but it's egregious

Hmmm that's an interesting question? I wonder now will Nike regret taking away Kyrie's shoe contract since he is doing so well playing in moosicans basketball shows . Do you notice, the camera doesn't focus too much on his shoes.. When Minnesota wins game #5 at home( I'm hopeful because I really want to see the series get extended, we deserve to see more of that small market team ) do you think they can win game #6 in Dallas?

Absolutely they can. But I would put my money on Dallas. Luka and Kyrie are absolute killers. It's basically 2 against 1, as Antman is the only bonafide killer on that Wolves team. And worse still Gobert and KAT are liabilities

Federberg.. I think the key is Kyle Anderson and Naz Reid..Those roles players have to a great games because I doubt if KAT is going have another phenomenal game plus he is an extremely sissy fouler . Just dumb basketball

What an absolute brilliant basketball shoo
By Luka. I have Dallas favorite over Boston
