Since El Dude and Shawnbm brought Nalbandian up, does anyone seriously think Federer can play this dominantly from the baseline?

Did you ever see the video of Federer v Agassi in the 2003 year-end masters? It looked like the above, even moreso, against a ball-striker far more formidable than Cilic. This match amazed me at the time , still does.

For whatever reason, I always found much of the ball striking in that era far more interesting than what we have now days. The shot selection was more varied and instinctual, and I think a little less formulaic. Everyone play's 'the right way' now.. People were also still adept at dealing with netrushers, or in fact, netrushing themselves so more of the court was used..

I happen to like Cilic, b/c he has a pretty nice all around game, so RF-Cilic matches look a little more old school to my eyes.
