This time rumours were true, Lord Carlos will replace Costa to lead Spanish DC's team
He's a close Nadal's friend and it could have been a factor for the job
He could be a very good captain, he knows 1 or 2 things about tennis and DC
Good luck Charlie

Short term for Costa it seemed, after Corretja.

There are so many good players from that era...maybe they're all just taking their turn. Davis Cup was very important to Moya, from what I've read. And he's writing interestingly in the Spanish press, too. I guess he's ready to take the next step.

Oh lordy. This might mean Rafa will play more DC now since it's Moya.

He does really like to play DC, but it could mean he'll try even harder to fit it in his schedule. BTW, I think Rafa will coach Spain in Davis Cup at some point, when he retires. (And thinking of that, I wonder how long before Nalbandian takes the job for Argentina? He may yet get his Cup.)

If he plans to play all DC ties, he'll have to sacrifice some tournaments just like Novak did this year. Of course, it depends if they get eliminated early or not. Then he can add accordingly.
Rafa as captain! :p Yah, I can see it.
