Ignore this thread, innocent mistake  :D
I wont bother deleting my stuff.

The way she is treated by those bastards organizers is unbelievable, and I chose my words carefully.
Is she supposed to play 3 matches in 3 days from Tuesday to Thursday?   R4, QF, SF?...
She should make a formal complain at the WTA or where ever, if there is such instance that deals with a deliberate sabotage schedule.

On Monday there will be mixed doubles matches, women doubles, etc, but there is no place for her match with Diaz? F...k them

In R1 she was TBA, in R2 she was 5th match while other courts had only 3 matches, and now this... RANKED 3

English people, time for you to know that Maria is a proud Russian not a western, same as Dona is Croatian and not a Brit. Stop your day dreams and your illusions!
Maria and Dona are NOT one of yours even if they are blondes and "look similar"! You are NUTS.

Other players ARE SUFFERING because of your madness, English people!

I cant believe this hypocricy. I may boycott Wimby soon. And no, you cant rule the whole world, sorry.

RANT OVER.........

RE: Simona Halep should QUIT and leave Wimby NOW!

Thats how I got my self banned in other forums and I am VERY proud of that. I will not sell myself.
The West needs to take a good hard look at itself ! You know what I mean...
And... the West does NOT know what its missing by its own behaviour. Its the West lost, believe me.
I know you wont believe me and thats why I also feel sorry for you, West people 2014.

Lol. Nobody in the UK regards either player as English so that's nonsense... and the majority of people aren't blonde.

Sorry, I am talking about a specific mentality here of idolizing certain Western things...
Facts are facts. They dont like her at Wimby. Her schedule is a blatant discrimination. I feel sorry for such people and their hypocrisy. Its not random. Mixed doubles nonsense before a R4 singles match? Are you kidding me?....
3 matches in 3 days means that the schedule actually throws her out of the competition. This is the real world, its not the innocent world that the media tries to portrait. I see the schedule. I dont need any further proof to my "paranoia".
What are the reasons behind this?... You tell me... breast reduction? envy? or a hidden racism as I think it is.

P.S. Dona is "one of us" because she lives in London, and "Maria is actually a western" in your minds... Maria sh..e on you in Sochi Olympic ceremony and showed her true Russian colours. She is not "Western" as the west media shows her... its all in your heads.
Its time to take out the dirt and deal with it I say. These western illusions...

If you were true sports fans (plural) then you would appreciate Halep ten times more than what you do now. A 5'6 player beating and trashing big girls and she is not from the west like Belgium, USA, UK... its killing you because of your senses of supremacy.
Andy Murray said: "How can Romania have such a good player like Simona?".. what an idiot. Any country can have such players, but you think that the west is above all. Keep on dreaming.

I am not defending only East Europe here. I am defending here Asia, Africa, South America and any other "3rd world country". Thats my point.

WE ONLY ASK FOR FAIRNESS. Thats all.

RE: Simona Halep should QUIT and leave Wimby NOW!

I'd hazard a guess that Sharapova gets better scheduling than Halep because she's won a bunch of majors, she's a former champion, former world number one and has a huge fanbase which probably translates to better TV viewing figures from around the world. She's one of the few players to transcend the sport outside of the casual fan.

I don't think she's western so it's never in my head and my favourite player on the tour is probably Dominika Cibulkova... yeah, that 9 ft tall Anglo Saxon beauty.

Seeing Halep beating taller girls than herself doesn't get me down at all... sorry.

Yeah, she's got an unkind schedule - she isn't the first and won't be the last, particularly when the weather starts kicking in.

Ok, lets start... I read your first lines.. Have I said "Sharapova" anywhere in my post? I said "mixed doubles" matches, not Sharapova!! Do you get it? Mixed doubles are more valuable on Monday than the Simona match! How can that be?.... :laydownlaughing I will now read the rest of your post, lets see...

Your taste sounds real nice, I am talking about the common public taste in UK, how many like Domi, Simo and their type of players? not many at all. These fans dont really get it.

And last, you call the schedule "unkind". I call it a plot to take Simona out of the competition. Simple as that. Mixed doubles, girls matches, boys matches played on Monday. Who are you kidding?...

I never talked about which court. I only talked about the timing which will kill her. She has no chance of winning it now. I wish she would leave now as a protest.

I need to calm down. Whats the point really?
I just need to move on, there is a nice football world cup in Brazil being played now :)

RE: Simona Halep should QUIT and leave Wimby NOW!

The reason for this scheduling is probably that the unfinished 3rd round matches Ivanovic - Lisicki and Keys - Shvedova are in that quarter. There seems to be an intent to schedule the R16 of a quarter on the same day, to not put those who finish their 3rd round on Monday at an even bigger disadvantage. On the men's side it's the same and as there are unfinished matches in two quarters all R16 of the bottom half will be played on Tuesday although Federer - Robredo and Nadal - Kyrgios could have been played tomorrow.

On the WTA side it shouldn't really be a problem as they are used to playing best-of-three matches on three or four consecutive days anyway.

How on earth can those who finish on Monday be pushed more by Simona not playing on Monday? What are you talking about?
They will have to play 4 matches in 4 days anyway with or without Simona playing on Tuesday. No sense at all in your theory.
The QFs of the top half will be played on Wednesday in any case. Simona could have played monday, wednesday, thursday and have tuesday for rest but she is not wanted in Wimby. They need to sell their blondes to the public.

Here is another way to show the stupidity (mean intention in reality) of this decision:
Why are they giving advantage to the other three quarters over the delayed quarter? Is that fair?...
ALL R4 8 matches should be played on the same day. This is unfair to the delayed quarter coming to the SF matches. Let all 8 matches be played on Tuesday!
So... instead of minimizing the rain damage they are extending the damage...
If it wasnt the way she was treated the whole week, I could get the stupidity part but she was treated like shite since the start.

And the organizers seem to think it's more fair when both potential quarter finalists from that quarter have no day of rest before their quarter final instead of Halep/Diyas having a day off before and Ivanovic/Lisicki/Shvedova/Keys playing three days in a row. I don't judge if it is the right or wrong, better or worse solution, but it is obvious to me that this is the reason for not scheduling Halep - Diyas tomorrow.

As I said it is the same for the men's bottom half and it is improbable that Wimbledon would do that just to disadvantage Nadal and Federer as well.

Here is another way to show the stupidity (mean intention in reality) of this decision:

I would expect them to schedule the quarter finals of the bottom half on Tuesday and both QFs of the top half an Wednesday so the respective semi finalists come into the SFs under similar circumstances. Playing all women's R16 would mean all men's R 16 should be played on Tuesday in that case too and they would just end the unfinished matches tomorrow. So that would create other complications in scheduling and be unfair to those who bought tickets for monday.

I'm not saying the situation couldn't have been handled better, as for example the five unfinished R3 matches could have been played today so they are on schedule on monday, but there is no intention to give an advantage or disadvantage to certain players.

-FG- :)
Thanks for clearing this thing out. Thank god its not racism although Simona was treated like shite whole week. She was TBA, and then 5th match when other court had only 3 matches. It looked intentional and still is.
They extend the damage of the delay by putting stress on the innocent players, and the damage is carried on to the later stages of the QF and SF.

At least I see its a habit in all events and I calmed down. :) Its a stupid habit because the damage is dragged on to the higher stages of the competition.

Thanks, and I learned a new thing thanks to you. But its still a bad idea.

P.S. They will probably make Simona a TBA on court 18 on Tuesday. Its "normal procedures" :snigger

RE: Simona Halep should QUIT and leave Wimby NOW!

It's clear that Halep isn't yet high on the list of players that the majors or at least Wimbledon prioritize in giving a comfortable schedule.

In general I think it's not reasonable to insist on not playing on the middle Sunday if the tournament is behind the schedule as it creates huge problems for those who haven't finished their third round until Saturday and also smaller problems for those who have to play them soon. Or yesterday after cancelling two men's matches they could have made sure to get all women's matches finished, so that at least the women could continue normally tomorrow. But with the situation as it is, the now intended schedule is probably the best possible.

I dont agree about canceling matches that can be played on time. The not delayed players should not be punished and they will also have a disadvantage in the next round against the other side of the draw.
This habit is extending the damage of the delay instead of minimizing it.
But I can see that its done all the time so I have calmed down.

RE: Simona Halep should QUIT and leave Wimby NOW!

The aim is, that players have as little advantage as possible over who they play in the next round because of the schedule. And that would be realized by playing both R16 of the second quarter on Tuesday, both QF of the upper half on Wednesday and both SF on Thursday. Only if the winner of the second quarter has long, tough matches on Tuesday and Wednesday, in case it is Ivanovic/Lisicki/Shvedova/Keys possibly also on Monday, that one will be at a significant disadvantage against the winner of the first quarter. Otherwise under the given circumstances this solution would make it as fair as it gets if you consider all players left in the upper half.

Who the hell can't recover from a best of 3 match in one day anyway! I've always maintained and always will that there's actually more to be proud of winning back to back masters in WTA. No day off in between and top players competing. A day off usually (obviously rain permitting) at slams between matches makes the task a lot easier eventhough history remembers the slams at the end of the day.

That said, it's a lot tougher to win say, Indian Wells and Miami back to back with no day off in between than to win any of the slams the women play. For the men playing best of 5 it's a completely different story. That's not meant as a pop at WTA but it's an outright fact based on the format of best of 3 and day off at slams versus none at Masters.

There is a reason that only 3 sets are played on the WTA. Its not done just for fun. It makes them tired "I guess".

The potential problem isn't really recovering from one match, but if for example the first semifinalist had 3-hour matches on Monday and Wednesday and the second one 3-hour matches on Tuesday and Wednesday, the first one probably would have a significant physical advantage in a Thursday-SF just because of how the schedule turned out.
