I think that might be because you keep mentioning a player who was never dominant... ;)

To be fair, my sherona, it was moved from ATP, as well. We have a forum for comparing players across genders and eras. We let them languish on ATP and WTA a bit, so people see them, and then move them.

I thought this was a thread started by someone who finally decided to leave the roost of mummy and daddy and left home. Ah well.

Pova's era of domination lasted all of November and part of December. Her fans will have to wait another eleven months for the next era of domination to begin.

If she meets Serena it's all over. Dominating lower ranked players won't win you the title.

Getting past Vika will also be tough for Pova except on clay. Even Li and Aga could give her trouble at AO. Basically, Pova has a slim to no chance. Several would have to be injured or off their game for her to won AO. I think her days of winning a major are over except at the french.

Just wondering where all this new found confidence in

Maria on clay is coming from. She won the FO when She

got a dream draw. That does not make her a clay specialist.

If Maria does not beat Serena in 2014, it will be full 10 years since she last did so
in WTF in 2004. That will be one hell of a rivalry. There is an article by Bodo on
this which I posted in some other thread.
