So, Karen Khachanov (17) does it again, taking out Janko Tipsy this time around. Second top 100 scalp for the young Russian in a row. He is now 3-1 at ATP Tour level, because he also won a match earlier this year in St. Petersburg, defeating Hanescu.
He is listed at 6'6", which means he could grow further.

Good to see a 17 year old winning matches. Tipsy is a big scalp, regardless of his form this year.

Agreed. He gets Karlovic next, and if the serve doesn't intimidate him to much, that could go either way. In any case, he should move up a couple hundred points in the rankings. (I see he's 34-12 on the year in juniors.) If anyone gets to watch him play, do let us know how he looks. Exciting to have a teenager on the horizon.

Richie gets it:clap

This was an extremely hard fought match just by looking at the scoreboard. Kukushkin was a break up in the third and at 4-3 and the following game took forever, with many deuces. In t nd Gasquet broke back and managed to in the next 2 games.
He passes Tsonga with this win for the WTF, therefore JWT is in trouble.
The final slots will be decided in Paris, on the finish line.
