I see Berdy dumped Paire out by 2 and 0. Is Berdy playing great, or is Paire his usual unreliable self? I suspect more the latter.

4 seeds got bounced today.
Besides Paire, Simon lost to Tsonga, Goffin lost to Krajinovic and Kohlschreiber to Albot.

I doubt it. They will pull back no question, but top 10 is not in the cards IMO.

Of those, the most surprising is Goffin, I think.

Denis lost today to Herbert, who is impressing me more and more. He may be known as a double specialist, but he keeps on climbing in the singles ranking also. Now I am quite curious if Herbert will match at least his partner Mahut accomplishment in singles.

I watched the 2nd set tie-break. I like Denis a great deal, but I still think he's sloppy. Herbert was the much more disciplined. I know Shapo is 19, but it's time for someone to wrangle that talent.

Herbert defeated Berdych, so it will be a French final, between him and Tsonga.

I have to say I'll be pulling for Tsonga, sentimentally, but I do like Herbert's game.
